Watering Instant Lawns

When applying water to instant lawn it is desirable to wet the ground as deeply and as evenly as possible. Heavy waterings at intervals of a few days is better and more beneficial than a daily light watering.
  • Watering should be undertaken in the morning to reduce the opportunities for disease.
  • Apply water so that it penetrates past the root depth to encourage further root depth. Shallow waterings only encourage shallow roots.
  • To encourage deeper water penetration forking or hollow tyning the ground during summer will help.
  • Wetting agents are another great way to assist water penetration through the soil profile.
