Position title: Site Supervisor Landscaping

Position reports to: General Manager-Operations
Supervises: Leading hands, Field staff, Contractors
Location: Based at 560 McGregor Rd – Travel to various sites

Role Purpose:
The Site Supervisor assists the General Manager Operations in meeting Evergreen Turf’s objectives of improved landscaping productivity and quality and ensures that Evergreen Turf provides a safe working environment and complies with relevant regulations. To maintain continuous improvement to ensuring customer satisfaction.

Health, Safety & Environment:
To adhere to the OHS & E practices that Evergreen Turf has in place and to actively seek to improve these practices.

Duties:

  • Ensure that productivity is kept at an appropriate level and wastage to a minimum

  • Supervise staff and or contractors and/or installs products and services as per the works orders. Orders supplies/contractors and communicates orders with Administration team.

  • Liaise with sales staff, customers and field staff/contractors in all aspects of work orders and site issues ensuring the works meet or exceed our client’s expectations. Communicate to Administration team that works have been completed in readiness for invoicing.

  • Ensure all machinery is pre start checked, safe to operate, operated and maintained with due care in accordance to the owners manuals and company procedures.

  • To install products and services in accordance with Evergreen Turf’s procedure manuals and to the customer’s satisfaction.

  • To prepare the site as per landscaping plans, spray, brush, cut, mulch, toppings, edgings, turf, trees and plants, irrigation, pave and water features.

  • To operate and maintain machinery supplied by Evergreen Turf with due care, and in accordance with Evergreen turf policies.

  • Train and mentor other landscaping staff including apprentices

  • Assist with quates and tenders as required.

Customer Service:

Provide customer service and support to internal & external stakeholders as required.

Other Duties:

Complete timesheets accurately and on time

Conduct other relevant duties, as directed

Quality Management:

Assist with the development and continuous improvement of quality management systems throughout the company.

Key Selection Criteria

Technical Expertise:

  • Horticultural Qualification

  • Excellent knowledge of horticulture, landscaping and all hard & soft landscaping works

  • Ability to demonstrate professional horticultural techniques in accordance with approved plans

  • Ability to operate machinery in a correct and safe manner

  • Understanding the importance of maintaining accurate records

  • Manual driving licence
