Warm Season Conversions

With water restrictions now in force in all parts of Australia conserving water will  be a  major consideration for all Sports Surface Managers.

Evergreen Turf uses the line planting method for most warm season turf conversions.

Line planting is the method used to convert cool season surfaces (Ryegrass, Tall Fescue, Bluegrass etc) to warm season grasses such as Couch or Kikuyu. The specifically designed planter slices the existing surface, whilst shredding the rolls of solid turf and creating quality sprigs. The sprigs then drop into the open slits in the surface which are then sealed by the rear roller.

The benefits of Lineplanting include minimal surface disruption, close planting spaces to enable quick grow in and slits being sealed over to maintain moisture longer.

Evergreen Turf has been using this method for over thirty years.
